taking tanks to the dive site

The furthest distance I have had to take my gear was from the parking lot at Blue Spring State park to the entry point which is approximately 500 yards into the woods.

In this particular case I wear all my gear and hand carry my fins, it is torture in the middle of Summer.

On a hot and humid Summer day it can cause to overheat before you enter the 69f water.

I don't understand exactly what kind of carrying you are referring to (like to get into water or getting your gear to wherever you are going?)

But what about using a tank strap like this?

Getting your gear to wherever you are going. As in from my truck to the beach or to the boat or all of the above combined...

Here is what I take with me to the location. Wherever it might be...

Divemat
Weight bag
Roller for all my gear
Tank

Oh I see. For a second there I was being really confused..

One solution :
Put your mat in your bag
Bag on your back (assuming it has straps)
Weights in one hand
Tank in the other (with strap if it makes it easier)
- this only works with one tank

My personal plan - make two trips
I have 2 tanks, or a single 121 steel that I can only carry on its own
Backpack for dry stuff
Gear bag.. that doesn't have wheels
