I've only gone there using these guys and the trip ran like clockwork: Dry Tortugas National Park | Fort Jefferson Key West Ferry | Yankee Freedom

There's a faster catamaran boat (Sunny Days) that runs there now but I've heard rough seas give it problems and she's down with mechanical issues somewhat frequently.

There's also a float-plane service but I haven't used that option either.

Whooo hoooo..... I'm booked for the whole weekend....

Well, that just happens to be my birthday weekend (21st), and that also just happens to be my personal favorite dive op in the upper Keys, so I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday than diving the Keys with a bunch of ScubaBoarders at Conch Republic.

A no-brainer. All booked!

P.S. There was a Sunday afternoon dive listed on the calendar as well, but that hasn't been mentioned here.

I went ahead and reserved, just in case.

Capt Gary I called in my reservation do I need to go thru online as well?

Hey Kim,

Nope looks like we have you on the schedule. You can log in and check the dives scheduled by clicking on the Returning Diver link at the top right of the calendar page. Use your email address as login and if you don't have a password click on the....send password link.

Let me know what you think of the system.

Good Diving,

We will wait to here from El on what dive sites he'd like to visit.
Not completely clear yet but here's what I'm thinking of so far:
  • Friday March 20 Night Dive
    1. The Duane
I had one of the best dives ever on this wreck during ITK 2006.
  • Saturday March 21 AM Dive
    1. Spiegel Grove
During ITK 2006 we had sucky vis and much more current than desired... :depressed:
    2. TBD
  • Saturday March 21 PM Dive
    1. TBD
    2. TBD
  • Sunday March 22 AM Dive (2)
    1. The Eagle
    2. TBD
Some of the dives will have to be reef and drift dives, gotta keep El Zee happy. :)

Suggestions are welcome.

Optional sites:
  • Conch Wall
