Now that is interesting Bill, as our best vis typically comes with a "cold" water upwelling. So the colder it is the better the vis. We were out at Lobos scootering around with zero surge, and the best vis I have ever seen in Cali...it was 43* and the cove water temp of 48* felt like bath water.

I didn't really mention Carmel vis previously as I have had too many good days there to count. Even the Monterey Breakwater one day diving there held over 70ft (Known due to end of the pipe to the metridium fields distance that could be seen).
