We have been holding Thursday Tweeks in San Diego for the past couple of months. The Thursday Tweek is for DIR divers to get together, review and practice skills. If conditions and available light are good enough we also video the dive and review it afterwards at a local eatery
A few weeks ago we changed the format a bit to emphasize a specific skill.
Thursday Tweek - Sep 4
Skill of the Week - S-drills
DIR Skills dive are held every Thursday at 6:00 PM at La Jolla Shores. We meet at the south end of Kellog Park adjacent to Vallecitos street. We normally suit up and hold pre-dive briefings next to the stone benches due south of the flag pole.
Each week the we run thru a wide variety of skills with emphasis on a one or two skills.
This week's Skill of the Week is the Shared Air Drills or S-Drills for short. We will do dry runs of the drill and then practice them in the ocean.
