Treating a Aluminum Mount for Underwater

Mil-A-8625 Type II is Sulfuric Acid Anodize, Mill-A-8625 Type III is Sulfuric Acid Hard Coat.

More important is to use the right aluminum alloy, 6000 series alloys are the best and I would go for alloy 6061.

Then hard coat it then powder coat it, the powder coating temp will not matter for a camera mount.

Or, just buy a mount like referred to in other posts. By the time you pay for fabrication and coatings you could have bought 2 or 3 commercially.
