Hi,

Going to Providenciales at the end of March, anyone know of any technical diving operators in Turks and Caicos? Did a search here and on google, just found old links.

Thanks!

M

Mike,

The ONLY operator with whom you can have this discussion is Big Blue.

Planning ahead is mandatory, qualified experience is expected (with C-Cards).

O2 Technical is likely what you found in your search. John was working in a partnership with Big Blue. I did a brief outfit operation there (left in 2011), but still would use and recommend them, then and now.

Oh, and DO NOT eat at Jimmy's. You'll miss the following day's diving. Promise.

Hey, Justin!

Thanks... I had called them yesterday, and the person who answered the phone said no. Maybe more than one shop, on another island?

Oh, well. I was hoping to spend a bit of time doing deco in a 3 mm wetsuit in preparation for Truk, but I guess I'll just have to do that at Dutch Springs... :D

That's funny. My son and I survived several meals at Jimmy's in 2009, actually quite good and reasonable price back then. Maybe that was 6 1/2 years ago, maybe that was the alcohol, maybe it was both

We went in Nov. and I think there is only few operations on Providenciales (Caicos Adventures and Dive Provo). I did not see anything about Tech dives. Have a great trip! Try Mr. Groupers, good food.

Thanks! Love going to Turks, haven't tried Mr. Groupers, but usually hit Conch Shack at least once..

I love to dive Turks. Sadly there are no TEC friendly dive boats :-(

If you find one please let me know. I want to see one of the wrecks there but it's a TEC dive so no boats go there.

The walls are amazing and I always see sharks far below when at 100ft...

There are no tec operators on Provo at present...

If you wanted to do a less conventional profile than what is offered you could look into chartering a boat and doing it that way.... Give Aqua Tci ( www.aquatci.com)a call or email as this is a very accommodating outfit and will always help where possible...
