From Torbay Lifeboat and Portland Coastguard helicopter launched to divers in distress | This is South Devon
TORBAY'S all-weather lifeboat joined the Coastguard helicopter from Portland to rescue a female diver who had got into difficulty off Torquay this morning.
The lifeboat was launched from its Brixham base at 11.10am, and joined the helicopter at the scene of the incident roughly four miles off Hope's Nose.

Conditions were said to be foggy at the time.
It is understood that the female diver had become trapped in a wreck. After being freed by her colleagues, at least one of the party came to the surface too quickly.
It was reported that the female diver was resuscitated.
The helicopter took the injured diver to the decompression centre in Poole as the specialist facility in Plymouth was fog-bound.

Any further news on this?

From the map on the it looks like that is the Bretagne wreck. Last time I dove that it was not in particularly good condition. Hull plates have started to fall off. Perhaps not the best wreck to go penetrating.

Hats off to the buddies for freeing the trapped diver, and getting her to the surface alive.

Alive but bent Is better than not being alive.

I hope she wasn't too bent, and made a speedy recovery.
