(S)IPE onsets in the water. I have never heard of a case onsetting once out of the water. A good article here about IPE New Guidance Released by BSAC on Immersion Pulmonary Oedema for Scuba Divers and Instructors.

Also see my article about a friend who died from IPE while diving with us Michael McFadyen's Scuba Diving Web Site. I have some links there to scientific papers by my friend, Dr Carl Edmonds, who after her death tried to do more work on it.

The BSAC guidelines seem very good based on my experience.

Reactions: Dan
The SIPE article above talks about SIPE leads to alveolar flooding. Some of the symptoms are shortness of breath, crackles and coughing sputum (bloody mucus).

These are also symptoms of lung barotrauma, unfortunately, so from this alone it could be either "E".
