Being in Seoul is fine, it's doubling the flight time to accomodate going to Seoul...

Surprisingly, the times are almost equal Korean 18.15 to (13 to Seoul) 5 to Palau, Return 16 flying hours with 7 layover in Seoul
Continental 18 hrs to Hawaii, Guam, Palau. Return 20-24 hours depending on route $1500 takes you through Tokyo, $2000+ Koror,Guam Hawaii, LAX

Thanks to jbjclj we were able to book the $485pp as well! We have been to the Seoul airport 2x and it is great! One time we took the tour into the city on our layover, which was EXCELLENT!! The next time we were able to snooze in these incredible sleeping loungers upstairs in a quiet area for FREE!! $1600 vs. $485 ! We are all in! Also, Korean airlines was great to fly on both times!

Dude you are weak! REALLY! How can you say anything negative about going to Palau for $500 from the states? Sounds like you missed the deal!

I was trying to book this next month not next year. Nothing is coming up at this rate for the near future.

That fare is gone. It was only up for about 4 days and discussion on FlyerTalk surmises it was an error, but those of us that were able to book it are very happy!
