Update on Intercontinental Presidente - It's Open!

This was addressed in another thread, but it might not be seen and I don't want to hijack the other thread.

I spoke directly with the sales manager.

The Presidente opened on October 25th. They have +/- 200 rooms available and will be 100% by mid November. Both restaurants are open, both pools are open and "all amenities are available to guests."

There is still some work going on such as landscaping, finishing the palapa, and finsishing details in the south wing of the hotel. The north section (closest to the Caleta) and the central section of the hotel are fully functional.

I am very happy that they are finally reopen and I hope this is good news to many of you!

It's just west of the hotel. It's salt water and very large. ;^)

Sweet! Thanks for the update, Christi. The place looked like something out of a movie in July - lots of broken windows with curtains flowing in the wind. Two of my friends were married there on the beach back in 99 so I have very fond memories of the place. One of the few beaches in Coz that you can get waiter service too - both food & drinks. This is a good thing for Cozumel.

ROFLMAO!! Got me on that one too Gordon. Actually, they have built a second pool. It is in between what they call the Garden view rooms next to the Caleta Harbor. Those rooms dont have a view of the water so they added the pool to make them more desirable.
