Wait is over and I got my first ever drysuit!
Didn't see any Ursuit thread but lot of comparing other suits to Ursuit, so I thought I'll write one.
I'm also writing this because I'm just SO Happy to get the suit and soon get back to diving after two years break.
So why Ursuit? Support your local business!
Only option for me was to get Made to Measure (MTM) suit. MTM was also one reason I chose Ursuit. MTM suits are not cheap and it's easier and less stressful to get all the details and sizing done right when I could handle everything localy. MTM suit was measured using measurement tape for some basic measurements (height, chest, crotch) but many of the measurements and body shapes were taken from photos that the dealer took.
So I chose to get Ursuit Softdura Green FZ MTM and Ursuit Thermofill Heavy MTM.
So far the number of my drysuit dives is zero and I'll write more when I get into water in few weeks.
As this is my first drysuit, I don't know what are details that separates this suit from others, but I'll post pictures of what I like about the suits. And if you want more pictures or have any questions, please ask.
Thermofill Heavy
Thermofill Heavy
I chose the heavy because Finland, the water is always cold. Clo value of heavy is 1.97.
Suit feels great and the sizing is spot on.
Pockets on both sides and one on the left arm. All pockets are quite big.
Air holes on right arm and arm pits.
Nice fleece around neck, on feet and wrists.
Softdura Green
Ursuit Softdura, green
Suit options:
Pockets are big, two compartments and mesh at the bottom, one d-ring, two bungees.
Smaller pockets with zippers on the pocket flap, also has two bungees.
