Press Release: Unified Team Diving Releases Two (2) New iPad/iPhone/iPod Applications

Carlsbad, CA, November 8, 2010  -- It is no secret that mobile phones that do more than just make phone calls have gained wide popularity. These “smart” phones have become essential tools in today’s modern world. Of these probably the most popular and widely used is the iPhone with it’s surrounding family - big brother iPad and smaller brother, iPod. In an effort to provide divers with an educational system and platform that is the most progressive in the industry, Unified Team Diving is proud to announce the release of two (2) new free applications that can be downloaded and used on your iPad/iPhone/iPod. One is centered around our educational function (UTD Classroom App) and the other around our community or social network (UTD Website App). 

UTD Classroom Application

The UTD iPad/iPod/iPhone Classroom Application allows anyone - UTD students, other agency divers/students, and even future divers - to purchase and download UTD classroom materials onto their iPad/iPod/iPhone for offline viewing.  This gives you the convenience of downloading viewable classroom materials, including UTD’s well-known Diving Skills DVDs, then watching them offline when you like – wherever, whenever!  You can now have the most progressive training agency’s materials right on your iPad/iPod/iPhone for use at your leisure.

This UTD Classroom Application is designed only as a supplement to the Online Classroom packages – it does not replace them.  UTD still requires that all students, in preparation for a scheduled in-water UTD Class, purchase the corresponding UTD Online Classroom package ahead of time. The UTD Online Classroom packages have additional reading materials, are moderated by a UTD Instructor, have workbooks and worksheets, as well as a discussion forum with fellow classmates. For more information about the application you can visit our support page detailing out the features. UTD iPad/iPhone Classroom Application Support - Unified Team Diving

The UTD Classroom Application can be downloaded by either going to the "Appstore" on your iPad/iPod/iPhone or by going to the iTunes Apps Store on your desktop and searching "UTD Classroom Application".  You can also follow this link to the iTunes webpage and download it from there: UTD Classrooms for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store...

Classrooms materials available include Openwater - Dive Master, Nitrox, Scooter, Technical, Trimix, Cave, Wreck, Rebreather, Ratio Deco, Gas Blender, Cylinder and Valve Technician and many more. Also available are the "famed" UTD DVD's but now the are Video's Online and available for download through this application.

UTD Website Application

The UTD iPad/iPod/iPhone Website Application allows anyone - UTD members, customer students, and even future divers to interact with the UTD Community Website (UTD Social Network) via their Iphone/Ipad/iPod. This app has many exciting features including users to update their status, blog dive reports, upload photo’s, view latest activities, look at other divers photos, lookup instructors, view the calendar of events and much much more. The application can be downloaded by either going to the "Appstore" on your iPhone/iPad or by going to the Itunes Apps Store on your desktop and searching "UTD Website". Once downloaded and installed, you can start having "FUN" reviewing any of the UTD Classes or Interacting with the UTD Website -- right on your iPad/iPod/iPhone.
