Hello,

I have the Nauticam casing for the t2i, as well as one strobe with the arm attachment.

Recently I acquired a BigBlue VTL 5000 P video light (weighs 498 grams). This light will be used for photography, but also as my dive light.

The question now is, should I mount it right above the lens or on another arm set. I think putting it on an arm attachment (opposite the strobe) is better, especially if there are particulates in the water.

What are your opinions?

Best

Avi

I highly recommend and arm on the other side, and make sure it's long enough.
A light as strong as that is bound to create backscatter if positioned too close to the lens so you want to position it as far as you can.
Using the light offset from the center will also improve the sense of depth of your frame.
