I have been using Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 for video editing. The software is nothing but problems anymore. It crashes often when editing and now I can not burn a DVD. A encoding error occurs during the burn process. Nothing seems to work to correct the problem.

So, I need recommendations for good video editing software, that's problem free!

COMPUTER

HP Pavilion a1530n
Windows XP
CPU Type Intel Pentium (R) DCPU
CPU speed 2.80 GHz / 800 MHz
RAM 3.49 GB
Installed Memory 4096 MB / PC2-5300 (maximum for pc)
Internal HD 224 GB (free space 175 GB)
External Seagate HD 465 GB (free space 407 GB) (used for video storage & editing)

Can you tell us a bit more about your computer?

CPU speed, hard drive(s) sizes and how much disk space you have free. How much memory.

Video edting places some strong demands on a computer, and some of the better video software is very demainding.

i use adobe premier pro and elements 4.0 never had a problem
