How is the diving in La Jolla Cove?

The cove can be a toss up- if you catch it on a good day, conditions are excellent! On a typical day however, there is a lot of surge and vis is iffy. It is a shallow dive, about 35ft max), but the amount of life there is phenomenal !

Ray: I would happy to join you for a dive if you need a buddy.

Alas, the scuba gods have not smiled down upon me!

Seems every time I post a "I'll be travelling to _______ and want to dive" post on ScubaBoard, whatever meeting my company was planning gets cancelled.

Ironically, I had an easier time getting the wife to OK two days tacked on to do Catalina that weekend than I will getting two hours in the quarry approved!

Good luck with your So Cal dives!

doesn't matter much now but i dive on the bottomscratcher a bit and i really like it. bagpipes and all. and i am pretty sure the cook is free of tatoos too.
