I had a rather large eel pinned to the ocean floor at the time mine went. As I recall, it was only 50'. I tried to disconnect the LP hose, but there was no chance of success. I was wearing thick 3 finger cold water mitts at the time. I didn't flare on ascent as I had an image of a very pissed off, rather large wolf eel hot on my tail.
