As has been recommended, do your book work at home. Don't spend possible dive and vacation time with your nose in the books. I'm not 100% sure on the PADI process. I just had two ladies from Singapore get certified in Indonesia and the resort dive shop provided us with their PADI number so the resort would get credit for the e-learning class. I believe the students entered the PADI number in their online course application. If there is some benefit to the dive operation, then you might want to contact some operations in Roatan before you travel...
