The WKPP dive reports (June 23-24, July 27-29), Q&A, image galleries and new Wakulla Leon-Sinks Cave System map have been uploaded to the WKPP Updates section of the GUE website.

The physical connection of these two incredible cave systems on July 28, 2007 was the primary goal when the project was founded in 1990. Over the years, exploration and mapping have remained the primary objective but the role of the WKPP continues to evolve in response to pollution, dark water and other threats to Wakulla Springs and the surrounding cave systems. As a capable and prepared partner, the WKPP will continue to serve in this capacity as one chapter closes and another opens. The WKPP now turns its focus to the south and a connection between the Wakulla-Leon Sinks Cave System and the Gulf of Mexico while at the same time facilitating and coordinating through GUE, the
research necessary to protect these resources for future generations.
