Just simple normal dives today.
Conditions were very dark, 20 ft of viz from all the freshwater rain runoff,, 79° - no thermals. 1.5knt current,. Was a Double fisted lionfish stringer day !!

Below is a bleach bottle I picked up. Like everyone else has posted this week, we also had a strong 3knot gulf stream top current. In the picture you can see all the sea grass coming up the stream from all over the world including South and Central America and then flowing thru WPB & Jupiter to continue on north. Bleach bottles are a 30 year old trick to force aquarium fish, lobster & crabs out of their reef holes. It's illegal and I haven't seen a bottle on a FLA reef in 20yrs, but it was common before slurp guns & loopers which are the norm & faster now days.

P.S. We're narrowing in with great scouting observations & notes from a few of us for lobster season in just a couple of weeks. We know where & where NOT they are.

Nice report.. Thanks for getting all those lionfish. Well done!

As for the lobsters.. close in, off the beach.. will be gone a week before the season starts. I hate poachers...
