I'll update this first post as a running synopsis of this thread.

When: Saturday, September 10th
Where: La Jolla Shores, San Diego County

What is the Wrinkles Dive?

This is a monthly gathering of all divers and non-divers in SoCal who can make it. It's a lot of fun involving diving, eating, socializing and last month even camping!

It all started when our SoCal member, Wrinkles, mentioned to a group that she dove with that it would be really fun to be able to get together at least once a month. Pasley, took off with the idea and announced the first "Wrinkles Dive". The rest is history!

It's open to everyone of all skill levels from "I'm not certified yet" to "Do we really have to dive the Andrea Doria again?"

We've found this to be a great way to meet our fellow divers locally and many new dive buddies have been found though these "dive soirees".

Roy,

I might not be able to make it down on Friday night for the usual pre-party this time. I'm probably going to be getting up at 4am and driving down Saturday morning. Then I'll have to head back to LA after lunch to make it to my cousin's retirement party on Saturday night.

But who knows, I might still be able to swing coming down on a Friday night. :crafty:

I was really looking forward to doing a night dive this time, too!

I look forward to seeing you on Saturday morning though! Maybe soon I can come down and hang with you guys on one of these weekends that is not a Wrinkles Dive weekend.

Givin the apparent small turn out for this months dive, perhaps we should forgo the bbq and just go grab a bite at a local place instead.

Thoughts?

Well, it's still 2 weeks away and it always appears to be a small crowd until the last week.

I'm OK with going some place local instead, but I think you'll have plenty of people turn out for the BBQ. This way you don't lose your parking places for afternoon dives.

Of course, I'm always up for whatever the group wants to do. I just like hanging out with you all! :crafty:
