I've completed my YMCA OW and AOW and will be taking SLAM Rescue in March. I'm thinking about going on to divemaster. I know PADI has a 15 minute water tread, a timed 400 meter swim, a timed 800 meter snorkel/fin swim, and a timed 100 meter tow.
Anyone know what the stamina/physical tests are in the YMCA divemaster course? Thanks.

If you know that you want to do your DM training through the YMCA, I would suggest purchasing the Standards/Procedures manual, which is a requirement anyways for YMCA DM's and above. Also there is a booklet for DM's, IA and Instructors. Its free through Chicago and it'll list all the swimming, OW dives, teaching requirements along with some sample tests that will be on the written test (Walter, do you remember what the booklet is called?..Its a red type binder?) Also, Tom Leaird has an excellent book out for DM's and above called Diving Fundamentals for Leadership.
