We just came back from our walk thru Waikiki and noticed that the walk thru Aquarium, known as "The Tube", at the DFS Galleria was covered up for "Renovation". Turns out that they are knocking out the aquarium, not to be rebuilt, but to make a new entrance (old, large entrance will be closed) and the critters have found a new home at Sea Life Park.

The Face of Waikiki is constantly changing, don't know if it is - in some cases - for the better :(

That's really sad. I can't remember if I went through there or not. :(

hmmm....me thinks you would have remembered walking thru...you go up a flight of stairs thru the tank. Ring a bell?

SOme people just dont know when they have a winning idea. Now they are just another junk store with a bigger door.

I took my two boys there the day before they covered it up just so they would remember it. It's really too bad. My boys loved to see the sharks. I was hoping just seeing them would help them to not be afraid of them.

:(....the tank as Sea Life park is cool too....just "so far" over there.

I'm sure it will be more missed then they'll ever know...

Bummer. We don't make into town much, but I remember that place. All we're left with now is Pacific Beach Hotel. :(
