until then.. 'time to catch up on some posts :eyebrow:

yea, the homes on Kaleaneole flooded too

It was the 100 year mark or something...

I put in a big french drain in my courtyard after that one.

So...at 5 am I say to JB: "I hope the bilges are running" and he says "oh, I am sure they are fine..." and then about 30 minutes later "now, you have me worried". So we went down to the marina, our new cover has the water flowing off nicely. (Stitch This, Kaimuki)

Alex, AAA diving says his dingy was full and three boats have sunk at Keahi.
the streams were POURING white water onto the highway around Nui valley at six am.

hey C.. are you back in your original slip? or are they still workin' on it?

looks like it's clearing a bit near the airport..
but, with all the run-off from the island.. i'm wary of diving just off shore today =/
think it's safe?

might have to drive well off shore and jump in.

Had to call the afternoon dive too. Surf was so bad on the south shore that the waves were breaking onto the runway at the Honolulu airport.

Oh well...another day...

they have not even started but we are on the dock right by the Kona Brewery, which is bigger.

We have been hearing this roar of water...(from the house) and it is not rythmic like the surf swell. It must be the streams and the sewers. But it is really load and constant, very weird.

Those little reflective bumps on the medians don't do a damn thing.

And is it me, or does everywhere else in the country have road paint that has a reflective additive in it? Driving home through the torrent last night was...exciting.

nah, we don't get that here.

I used to notice the lack of lines too.

supposed to rain later today, I hear.

Why as no one mentioned the light show? I just love electrical storms.
