Exciting news about the Vandenberg - I've been wanting to dive it as soon as it's sunk because I've always wanted to see a newly sunk ship before the growth starts covering it up completely. However, with current plans, I'd have to scuttle a few trips to do it this year.

QUESTION - How long does it take for a newly sunken ship to be pretty well covered with growth? I.E., should I scuttle my existing plans and try to do it this summer, or will winter suffice, or can I wait until next summer - 2010 - before you don't really see what the ship looked like when it went down anymore?

Thanks for any info.
