My wife and I will be staying in St. Augustine in June in a condo on the beach. I was wondering:
1. how is the shore diving in st augustine
2. where can I find the regulations (dive flag requirements, etc) for shore diving
3. any suggestions on charters or sights to see.

Thanks

Michael

Not much if any shore diving up that way, most of the beach accessible diving that has structure is from Sebastian South. Best bet is to take a trip a few hours South or over to the springs near Orlando.

For the dive flag requirements, I would hit: Florida Dive Flags.

I live about 30 miles south of St. Augustine and I am not aware of any shore diving around here. A couple hours south of here is the Blue Heron Bridge which is a great shore dive. Other than that, we hit the springs a lot.

No shore diving but there will be several charters running from Daytona to Jax by then.Just starting up the charter season now.Had 30' vis yesterday and 80' 3 days ago in 120' mid 60s temps.

Thinks for the heads up. I guess we will be snorkeling at the beach outside the condo then most likely getting a charter from Daytona.
