I'd like to ask everyone who dives Vista Point, Lake Pleasant to help me clean it up. Since the water is down, I've been picking up trash and throwing it in the trash bins located in the parking area. While most of it comes from the boat traffic, some of it is ours. After weekends, quite a few plastic bottles, styrofoam cups, wrappers, and even packages of deli meat can be found in, and around the table. Please help pick the place up.

I'd rather use natural features for my navigation than beer cans...so I've committed myself to bringing up stuff from under the water line too. It doesn't take much to stuff a can in your BC belt. If everyone grabs something, maybe in the long run there'll be less trash at our site.

I love the diving at VP. Join me in taking the initiative to clean it up.:D

Pete I couldn't agree more. I've always tried to pack out or fill recepticles with more than what I brought with me. I also tend to surface trash in hopes that other will see my example and do the same.

You've got my pledge to continue.

How about proposing a time and date? It would be worth it to drive up and learn about VP and meet some of y'all . . .

Hey Jax,

Hadn't thought about making this into a day. I figured there is a regular crowd that dives every week and over time we could make a difference. I'll probably dive VP next weekend but I haven't chosen the day yet. I'll post here in advance and you are free to join me if you want.

ahhh . . . so it was a general urging for everyone to do there part, then?

I don't have a drysuit yet . . . I don't think I can handle the waters up there!

Unless you're buying a drysuit with an air conditioner, you should be alright without one. The water at lake pleasant is like bathwater. (dirty bathwater)

 You're talking to a gal that happily dives a 7mm in 82* water!

Thanks to all that are picking stuff up. Today I the parking area was much cleaner and I picked up a couple bags of garbage off the exposed shore. Lets keep it up. Thanks all.

I'll be at the lake this weekend. Lets keep picking stuff up. Thanks to everyone that grabs one bottle or bag or whatever and tosses it out.
