Dive Rite EXP fin weight??

Hi,

Could you tell me the dry weight of your XL EXP fin please.

Need to know if the weight you quote is each or both together as well.

Trying to compare how different they are from my Hollis bat fins, looking for something lighter for when I'm sidemounting.

I bought the Hollis Bat fins cause I thought they weigh more... ~7 Ibs (size XL)

The Dive Rite EXP fins weigh ~5 Ibs according to DiveGearExpress and ~4 Ibs according to DiveRite (see Tech Specs). But this difference is probably due to weighing different sizes as you probably figured.

Good question. I'd like to hear the exact figure for XL.

Thanks for that - I'd been on the Diverite site and not spotted the tech link........

I have XXL Hollis fins already and need a lighter fin for sidemounting, looks like the dive rite might be the go for me!

OK Found me some digital luggage scales and here's what I have so far:

Single XXL Hollis Bat fin = 3.2lb

Single XXL OMS slipstream fin = 2.6lb

Single XL Dive Rite EXP Fin = ???

Wheres Kathleen to fill in the blank please??

BB1 - That would be a per fin weight, right? I am also looking at the Dive Rite EXP for travel. My Hollis F1's are great with the drysuit, but very heavy with a 3mm.

Parzdiver - yep that's per fin.

If you do get the exp fins could you please weigh one so I can compare to the others.

Okay, here's the weight, per pair, for each of the sizes we offer;

Small 4.020 lb
Medium 5.130 lb
Large 5.54 lb
X-Large 5.635 lb

And please keep in mind that were weighed with the fin pocket inserts.
