Not a great month numberwise and the vis has been mostly horrid.The hurricanes stirred up silt and reduced vis at times to 0.Mostly 5' to 15' early on and up to 30' a couple days ago.Have had some interesting shark encounters with some aggressive tigers ranging from 8-10',had one guy chased out of the water and I had to assert myself with a poke in the nose at 3'.I hadn't shot a fish yet so it definitely a freaky feeling,he was interested in ME.Still a yell and a poke sent him packing.
Did get to see one of the most amazing sights I've seen as a diver and particularly as a spearfisher,at an an undisclosed wreck dove down and found what we figured to be 200 or more gag grouper all over the wreck.Vis was like 10' or I'd have done another dive with my video cam.Truly amazing to see.
Found a piece of coal on the Peconic and another wreck and recovered a tile from another but nothing really cool.
Put a couple more pix up in my gallery,don't look
