Here's a web page from KEH.com. They are reliable a used camera broker:

Nikon Digital Camera Bodies - KEH.com

SO they have D-200, bodies alone, priced just under $600. Of course if they were buying a used D-200 from you they would only pay about half that price. In this respect you are getting a good deal. Of course you do have some risk of getting sold gray market or stolen cameras. You may want to run the serial numbers past Nikon service and/or the local police there in Hawaii before purchasing. Also, do you have a wide angle lens and a line on a housing? That's because this is an older, discontinued camera.

Ditto on making sure they're legit. Since they're local and you can see them, check the condition, make sure the housings are watertight.
If the seller has any ports for the housings, look into that too. Ports can be very expensive. The 18-200 is a great walking around lens, but useless underwater. You'll want a 60mm or a 105mm for macro (plus the port to fit it) and a 10.5, 12-24 or Tokina 10-17 or 12-24 and a port for wide angle. then you'll need at least one powerful strobe. Since the housings are Ikelite, a DS51 (useless for wide angle) or DS-160/DS161 and the synch cord for it would be next on your list.
$1200 for a camera with a spare and a housing with a spare is a killer deal if they're in good shape. There's very little difference between the D200 and the D300 in terms of underwater performance.
