I have an older Seaquest BC that has a broken BC fill valve assemble. It was my wife's and looks brand new, otherwise. Apparently the plastic material gets brittle over time. I did an internet search and found a company called Scuba-fix that sells repair kit for BCs fill and dump valve threaded attachment points. It appears to be based in Singapore, but the parts ship from North Palm Beach, FL. That's only 30 miles from my home (FL not Singapore). The kit is $108 SGD which equals $87 US and $84 AUD. Kind of steep for a small piece of plastic and some glue. The only use I have for the BC is if a small female wants to dive and doesn't have her own gear. The other fear I have is if I spend the money on the fill valve replacement, will one of the dump valves fail and need repair in the future? It wouldn't be cool at all to lend gear to some one and have it fail at depth. That would not be cool at all.
