As far as the DS 125 strobes, I hear a few comments that the serial numbers should be above 5000 to make sure they work with the current housings? Can someone expand on this? Will the older 125’s not fire on the newer housings?

DS125 strobes under 2500 can be fired manually only and cannot be updated.
Strobes 2500-4999 can be fired manually and in some cases TTL depending on which camera and housing you are using. An update will allow these strobes to fire TTL with all newer Ikelite DSLR housings.
