Tried out a system of tracking the route we take on our regular river dive in the st marys river. The dive consists of a walk upstream, a nice 100+ year old wreck, a drift dive and a plane wreck. Its a pretty interesting dive. The purpose of the tracking was to see where we actually dive and where the wreck and plane we dive are located. I used my iPhone in an otter box. I tied the otterbox to my smb and towed for the duration of the dive. Turned out pretty cool. You can even see where we walk along the drop off. The max depth on this dive is about 43'. Not sure the system would work well on a deeper dive but it worked well here. Enjoy.
