Hey folks, I'll be in Barbados this Christmas staying in Porters just north of Holetown, I'm looking for a reputable dive shop that is close by, I have a car but don't want to drive farther than necessary.

Any recommendations? I'll have all my own gear if it matters.

Thanks

We did the exact thing a few years ago. In Porters or in Porters Court (the villa complex?) Had a blast in the complex but we weren't divers (yet). Reefers and Wreckers seem like a nice crew. We did our opw referential dives 8 months later with a private guy who utterly ignored us once we got back home so I can't in good conscience give you his name. We met a R&W DM at the beach buffet at Ramshackles and he already new the story about my sons lone first OPW dive(a whole other story....) nice guy! Do Tapas in the south for Christmas dinner if can.

Sorry I could not be of more help. -ps get a GPS if you plan on renting a car, I think the companies rent them but I took down my own with BajaNav maps.

I will be in Barbados Sept 28 to Oct 6 and plan on scuba diving a few days. I have written to 2 dive shops Barbados Blues Watersport & Eco Dive) and both provide hotel pickup for the dives. I will decide when I get to Barbados.

I can certainly recommend Eco Dive Barbados.
