Ever since I was a boy and read " Moby Dick" I have had an interest in Sperm whales. That being said. Who, what and where do0 I begin to find information on diving with these magnificent creatures?

You're not going to be able to, sorry to say. There's a federal law called the Marine Mammal Protection act which makes it illegal to "take" marine mammals. Take being hunting, killing, capturing, and stressing marine mammals to the point of altering their behavior. Basically you have to keep a berth from whales, seals, and the likes. You can't approach but they can approach you.

So this means there's no diving ops in the US to dive with whales. Whale watching vessels have strict guidelines, but I wouldn't call it an exception per say. Additionally because Sperm Whales are a deep diving animal, they're going to be frequenting far from shore, so boat ops wouldn't be financially feasible in such a niche market.
