The auction will run until December 16, 2013, with proceeds going to Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ocean Futures Society in order to support its mission to explore our global ocean, inspiring and educating people throughout the world to act responsibly for its protection, documenting the critical connection between humanity and nature, and celebrating the ocean's vital importance to the survival of all life on our planet.
GasPods easily attach to vehicles to make them more aerodynamic. Whether new or old, with its engine fueled by gas, diesel or electricity, making a vehicle more aerodynamic reduces its work load, which translates into more miles per gallon. Independent field testers, client drivers who provide a minimum of 4,000 miles of driving both without and with a kit of GasPods on their automobile, are reporting between 2% and 17% in fuel savings.
For every gallon of gas saved, 19.4 lbs of CO2 is prevented from being released into the atmosphere and 97 gallons of water required to produce each gallon of gas are preserved for other purposes.
If 40,000,000 individuals – that is only 2% of the close to 2 billion vehicles on the road today - join in reducing their vehicle’s gas consumption by 5%, by any method or means it is estimated to prevent 11 megatons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere and save more than 118 billion gallons of water from permanent pollution by oil processing per year. That is more of an impact on preserving our Earth than any one program of industry or government we know of in effect today.
