I used to have an xxl nighthawk. It was a good bcd. but the lack of a crotch strap and the high placement of the weight pockets for bigger guys seemed to make me go head down. I went to a backplate and wing with a dui weight harness and it was the best thing I could have done.
Maybe before you get too into it you should take a look at them. For big guys like us it makes it a lot easier.
