I have a plan to dive in New-Caledonia in November. I couldn’t fiend enough information about New-Caledonia on this ScubaBoard. Any comments and/or suggestions about this place are welcome.

Thank you in advance!

I didn't care for the city itself, but my trip there was on business and I was very very short on time. I only had time to snorkel on one reef and that was in a pretty accessible place. Life was good though (and so was the beach watching!).

Can't really give you much help other than the quick view I had of the place.

Hi,

Try doing a web search for diving and new caledonia. I think Amitee (?sp) Island is where a lot of diving is done. I organised over the net a couple of dives with Kunie Scuba, who are located on the Isle of Pines which is a territory of NC. If you get the opportunity you should visit the Isle of Pines (Ille de Pins) which is beautiful. Kunie Scuba were great and transferred us to and from the jetty to their dive shop (about 10 - 15min car ride)

HTH,
Mel
