Thinking about buying one of these cameras and wondered if anyone has bought/used one and could give some feedback?

All my underwater photography efforts to date have been problematic to say the least! Off to the Maldives in November and really want some snaps to show my non-diving better half! Any feedback on whether you think it better to hire a good camera or buy a cheaper one for personal use would be more than welcome.
