Hey--got a question for y'all...

Is there shore diving at Camano Island? Is there anything worth seeing underwater there? Is crabbing allowed?

You can crab at the state park, just lot's of boat traffic to look out for. Crabbing is usually done to the north of the boat ramp.

It is a bit of a hike or swim, but there is some wall activity on the south end of Lowell Point.

But boat diving is the best bet.

Onamac reef (artificial reef of concrete) offers some pretty good spearfishing I am told (and an occasional six gill sighting).

Camano Wall (south of Pebble Beach) is supposed to be a pretty good dive also.

Diving at Onamac Point is a boat dive at the artificial reef. You can launch a boat at Camano State Park, $5.00 fee, then head North to GPS 48 11 01 / 122 32 31 which is the Southwesterly tip of the reef +/- with the Northwesterly tip at 48 11 17 /122 32 20 +/-. There is no access through the Onamac private community road. It's a nice dive lots to see. Spear fishing and crabbing permitted in keeping with regulations.

There really is nothing to see though if you shore dive at the State Park.
