Just wondering where you guys get your bungie cords that we use to attatch to our bottom timers instead of the wrist band ?

at the nearest hardware store. The stuff I bought is $.16/ft at Rona, but not sure if you guys have that store down there.

Marine supply stores sometimes call it shock cord. I get mine at Kona Marine Supply.

No Rona's but, we have other hardware stores. Thanks for the info!

Yeah, it's right next to my LDS. They carry boltsnaps too if I need some quickly.
Good luck, and enjoy.

Home Depot has "Tie-Down" bungies that seem a little thicker and stronger. They come in a loop connected by a plastic ball. I just cut the plastic ball off.

These two establishments around me do not carry any shock/bungee cord other than the 10 inch stuff. There is an REI around me so I guess I will try that to find some. Thanks for the info; never thought to look there. :banghead:

I remember that it was pretty tough to find bungie cord in Chicago. You can buy thin white bungie from outdoor stores (used to replace the shock cord in tent poles), go to West Marine in Old Chicago (both 3/8 and 1/4 in), or drop by Scuba Systems (Skokie).
