Looking for some advice. I am looking for a surface marker set up and wondered what recommendations you guys might have. Basically 99% of my diving is Caribbean with Drifts and shore dives. I don't do wreck penetration yet and not sure I will in the near future. I have a cheap sausage that I always take with me but I would like one that I could shoot at depth during safety stops to mark my position as well as be able to connect to the bottom of my BC on the surface when needed.

The cheap one works....if I help it ..... but it does have some serious erection problems and is difficult to inflate at depth. It's the kind that the inflator valve must be pushed in before inflating with your mouth. I would rather have one that I could inflate from the BC/Air as well as at the surface.

Any recommendations? Advice?

I don't want to get into the discussion of how difficult it is to shoot it or how dangerous it can be. I think I understand the challenges and issues this can cause.

Check out Carter lift bags and SMB's....they have all sizes and will do custom if you can take the price...his SMB can be shot as well as orally inflated...I have a 75lb custom which has always worked quite well....try http://www.divesports.com they keep some of several configurations.
