I can't get my D9 to connect with Suunto Dive Manager V2.1.4 due to problems with Microsoft Activesync V3.8 which I need to sync my PDA. Suunto have said to just shut down Activesync before trying to connect but this does not work! Has anyone else overcome this?

Activesync has control of your serial port (and it isn't easy to shutdown activesync)

I'm assuming you've got your PDA cradle attached to a USB port, so you need to tell
Activesync to release the serial port you're not using so SDM can get it. Do this:

- Right click the Activesync icon (grey or green circle) on your taskbar.
- Click on connection settings.
- Uncheck the box next to "Allow serial cable or infared connection to this COM port".
- Click OK

Now you should be able to connect to your D9. (If you sync your PDA via USB, then you can leave the settings like that)

If you're syncing your PDA through the serial port, disconnect it, do the above, download your D9 data, then re-connect it and re-check the box you unchecked above.

Gotta love Microsoft, taking control of everything on your computer.....

Good luck!!!

Thanks, seems to work ok now.
