They're both really great and somewhat similar. We saw more nurse sharks and rays in Belize, but we also really loved Roatan and are going back again soon. Where we were in Roatan we were mostly diving reef walls, in Belize we seemed to dive more spur and groove formations.

Ive dove all over the caribean and they are both great. Roatan is my favorite place on earth to dive outside of New Jersey. But Belize has the blue hole wich I havent dove but would love to. Hope this helped
