5 Night All-Inclusive Cozumel Dive Adventure
November 22-27, 2007
It's for good reason that divers flock from around the world to Cozumel, Mexico. The reefs here are unique in the entire
world. A constant current brings nutrients up from the southern Caribbean. This current hits the tip of Cozumel and is
forced between the island and the mainland of the Yucatan coast, a scant eight miles to the west. Over countless eons,
this rich current has fostered the creation of immense coral reef structures, teaming with a wealth of vibrant marine life.
The result for scuba divers is the opportunity to drift with this life giving current on an effortless and convoluted cruise
along the steep walls and through the labyrinthine passages of reefs such as Maracaibo, Palancar Caves, Columbia,
and Santa Rosa.

Itinerary:
TBA: All travelers will meet for a trip-briefing to mix and mingle, discuss meeting times, security issues, and travel
and dive gear.
Day 1: Happy Thanksgiving! Plan to meet at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport WITH YOUR PASSPORT at
5:00 AM on Thursday, November 22 . We suggest that you park in Long Term or Remote parking for $3 per
day. Shuttles will then transport you to the main terminal. After a domestic connection (this is a good time for
lunch) we will arrive in Cozumel at 2 PM. Once at the resort you’ll have the opportunity to kick off your diving
with a shore dive. Of course you can always lounge by the pool or explore the area and hotel.
Day 2, 3, 4: Our package includes four days of boat diving. So be ready to hit the water everyday. Additional shore
dives can be added for no additional cost. Your group leader will also coordinate optional opportunities for the
group to explore downtown Cozumel, and dine together at the resort.
Day 5: We’ll be on the first boat out today. We’ll return in time to insure that we’ve had 24 hours to rest before returning
home.
Day 6: Please be prepared to check out of our hotel by 11:00 AM. Our flight will depart Cozumel at 2:30 PM and arrive
back in Charlotte at approximate 8:30 PM on Tuesday, November 27.
TBA: Show others how much fun they missed! Upon our return, guests will have the opportunity to share trip stories
and photos. Light refreshments will be provided.
Note on Itinerary:
Although we do our very best to adhere to the schedule listed, this itinerary is subject to change for numerous
reasons beyond our control including weather, airline delays, and terrain conditions. Sink or Swim recommends
that you purchase travel insurance to guard against trip cancellation or interruption, trip delay, lost baggage,
personal injury, etc.
Single Travelers:
If you are traveling alone or specifically request single accommodations, you will be asked to pay the full single
supplement noted on the trip itinerary. Otherwise, if available, we will assign you a roommate.
Dive Fees:
At least two Dive Masters and a professional crew will lead each boat dive. Tanks and weights will be provided
free of charge. Rental equipment is available, however we highly suggest investing in your own personnel life
support equipment. All divers who travel internationally should consider the following gear: BCD, regulator, dive
computer, flashlight, dive watch, and the proper luggage and travel bags to protect your investment. Sink or
Swim Scuba would be happy to assist you in selecting gear or servicing equipment you may already own.
Qualifications:
This trip offers the opportunity to participate in a variety of different outdoor activities. Participants should arrive
in good physical condition and be able to swim.
Weather:
With a subtropical climate the average temperature is about 27°C - 80°F, and because Cozumel is surrounded
by water the climate is always humid often around 90%. Cozumel is on the Caribbean, and most likely much
warmer than November in Charlotte, but bring a sweater anyway, you never know! Recommended clothing
and gear lists will be provided upon registration.
Passport Requirements:
ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air between the United States and Mexico are required to
present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document, or an Alien
Registration Card, Form I-551, if applicable.
To obtain a passport for the first time, you need to go in person to one of over 8,000 passport acceptance
facilities located throughout the United States with two photographs of yourself, proof of U.S. citizenship, and a
valid form of photo identification such as a driver’s license.
We look forward to leading you to underwater adventure!
