here's some "better" shots with the Samyang...all shot @ F9-10, 1/125, distance was set @ 0.5ft. while not extremely difficult, using the LCD @ 7x the whole time so i could check focus (even though i wasn't always fully diligent about it), it does present challenges shotting in MF the entire time. that being said, i will continue shooting it until i can consistently post "presentable" pics. the vignetting really hinders this...maybe removing the lens hood will help a bit. i was getting some flare/glare in a lot of shots but i think that was strobe positioning...idk, i am more of a "trial and error" sort rather than "learn right the first time out" kinda guy. and yes, i am still "erroring" out with my lighting...

anyway, here are some cropped shots from today:

nice work chile i realy like your pics, just make sure the strobs are behind the port .

thank you. i need to adjust my arm set up...i am using the inon M1 base with (2) 5" segments so it makes it a little difficult to get strobes positioned right when it comes to the FE...with the 9-18, it was easier. i didn't get to make it out to the sight i really wanted to shoot today but i hope to do that sometime this week and see if i can improve the strobe positioning/lighting.

still not getting the strobe positioning right but still fun playing with this. having to be 6" from the subject makes it hard to get close to any fish...i will work on that next.
