Rare trip to San Benitos Islands! Limited-load!
You must have a valid passport for this trip.

Cost: $1,113.00

This is a 5-day specialty scuba trip aboard the Horizon.
(3 1/2 dive days!) San Benitos (West of the Baja Peninsula) brings a variety of wonderful diving to the table with unique kelp forests and untouched wilderness. Divers commonly see an interesting mix of temperate fish as well as sub-tropicals, silky & white tip reef sharks, wahoo, and tuna. Diving in the dense kelp with such good visibility reminds you of getting into a really dense jungle in Central America combined with flying like you experience in a dream. Swimming under the roof of the kelp, looking out at blue water, and interacting with the prolific resident life is a very special diving experience.

San Benitos has been characterized as "San Clemente Island before the fishermen came". It's remote, the islands are largely unpopulated, and the underwater life is abundant!

The Horizon is not your average local dive boat. She's built for multi-day trips out to sea and has a wonderful salon, galley, bunks, and dive accommodations. At 85 feet long she's well-suited for this kind of trip. In other words... SPACE! (Especially so this being a limited-load trip!)

Hatul,

Not too different than what you get in SoCal in the summer: High 50s/low 60s at depth and bright, sunny, warm weather topside. (That's what my crystal ball is saying at any rate!) Of course, it also depends on how deep you go and where the layer is that day.

Vis is said to be superb with a ton of marine life on display.

What is the "Non Profit" part, I thought I read through "everything" and the link. I couldn't see the 501c3 part??

Be safe out there!

TIA, Don

Don,

What do you mean? The proof that we're 501c3?

Try charitynavigator.org (search "Power Scuba" under unrated orgs). Or go here directly: Charity Navigator Power Scuba Page

Cheers,

Bill

Tnx PS

Diving offshore Baja (Eastern Pacific) is awesome! Prepare for cold water, abundance and variety of species, and maybe even some local game as fare.

Be Safe Out There!

Yes, we're very excited about the trip. Based in San Diego, we dive San Clemente and the other Channel Islands fairly frequently, so have a good idea of what to expect, but there a few species we might see for the first time.

Cheers,

Bill
