Hi all,

I recently went diving with a newly acquired Nikonos III with a 20mm lens. After the dive, I rinsed everything thoroughly in fresh water and, when the lens dried, there is a small spot on the lens (like when you pull a glass out of the dishwasher and it has a spot). Any tips on how to remove it? Should I just rinse it again with distilled water?

Thanks,

Chris

For future reference, what should I use to dry the lens?

After rinsing, I always dried my Nikonos lenses by dabbing with Kodak lens cleaning tissues. I guess microfiber towls would do just as well. The secret is dabbing, do not rub.

A good Micro-fiber lens cloth works great
