I'm a Fish!
I would like to propose the forming of a Florida kayak diving subforum. I believe there is sufficient interest to warrant such an addition to the Florida Conch Divers forum.

Okay, I'm in.
Plastic Pirates? (there will be diving for treasure right?, lol)
Plastic Navy Divers?

Oooh, Plastic Pirates! I like it!

Count me in... as long as Moteman is in charge... <just kidding> We'll just let him think he's in charge...

Count me in! I guess I'm somewhere like in #7.
I did my first yak dive about a week ago, it wasn't as great as a boat dive obviously, but it was definitely better than a beach dive because of how far I got to go. I would love to have a section dedicated to gathering more kayak divers (there's a lot of kayak divers who just simply do beach dives because they don't know enough other kayak divers).

I agree, I started yak diving while I was attending Texas A&M @ Galveston. We had a group of 4-6 of us that yakked out to the near drilling rigs(about 2 miles off the beach) to dive. The viz sucked, there wasn't much to see, but it was better than wishing you were diving, and beach diving was out of the question(viz on the beach was measured in inches, not feet).

By my counting we now have eight scubaboard members that support the creation of this forum. Once we get the required 12, forum/club name is open for discussion. This is what I have proposed for a description. Feel free to add, amend or edit:

Uniting all Florida kayak divers (East Coast, West Coast, Keys and Inland) with the aim of organizing group outings, dives, participating in organized events and introducing newbies to the wonderful world of yak diving
