Why not? There are those who believe everything out of ALGORE's mouth! They worship mother earth as their goddess and believe green crap with no evidence! So it has already started with people forgetting the science of sustainability for cute cuddly! :censored:

BTW you know your quoting a cartoon?

I don't know enough about clubbing, but my guess is that a bullet to the head is more humane. Argue to me about the value loss to the pelt... but if it is not more than 10 or 20% loss in pelt... and more humane, it should be the way to go.

ah, so you do agree that there is an economic measure of the value of "humane-ness".

I wonder why I haven't seen a post by DivingPrincess expressing her desire to see all seal hunters machine gunned down and claiming it would be morally appropriate.

Man, these threads are entertaining!

when certain species are overpopulated then a cull is a smart and logical thing to do to retain some level of equality in the local eco system, if it happens to coincide with some very few people being able to feed their families then so be it. there are areas in N America where the deer hunt is aimed at this as well.

I would even go so far as to say "many" places in the US. In fact, if you consider the highly populated eastern half of the country, I'd even say "most". when deer are a common site in suburban mall parking lots, and deer carcasses litter the highways, I say its time for some barbeque backstrap!:D

No, that is far from what I meant.

It's still a great example of sacrificing some for the good of the others which is what the hunt is all about.

I'm sorry that it has come to this, but some hurtful things have been posted and I'd like to see it stop.

Here I thought we were playing nice!

Weird, lately I seem to be sucked into the threads that become heavily moderated. Hope I didn't offend anyone with anything I said. Apologize if I did.
