Ignore the elistists here. I spend more time in the quarry than the ocean because it is CHEAPER! Also, I want to see what the dive trips costs are going to be like now that the gas is flying upwards...

I'm seeing $90 for the GyspyBlood and $95 for the 'Ol Salty. I think that's good for inshore or offshore (except the Resor).

Your costs will probably be higher, but here's what I'm guessing mine will be.

$95 - boat
$35 - 2 sets of twin 100's to 28%
$17 - 40cf deco to 80%
$25 - gasoline
$3 - tolls

Total = $175 per trip

Looks like I'll be seeing you more at the quarry this year.

I'm with you there. I had to take a second job just to pay for my diving (for real... Second job = extra money, which = diving. No extra $= No diving)

My costs are about $40 less, but I'll still be keeping an eye on the tides at Shark River for some free shore dives. I get a raise in June. Guess were that money'll go ? To the TomKat and Gypsy Blood with maybe a few Venture III's thrown in there. But I don't think the wife needs to know that.:no
